Well September was eventful!

you.
September's not a good month to be an Archer. Literally everyone in our family dies in September. My granddad, my two grandmas, my father-in-law, and my dog–not all the same year, that would suck.
Needless to say, we all get
a little nervous around this time of year.
And when everyone's favourite grandma died earlier this month, it surprised me just how sadden I was.
I mean, I know the Queen was knockin' on but she could have at least waited until
October or something.
The other thing that surprised me was all the stories people told about meeting her.
Every single one of them had a smile on their face when they recalled a funny encounter, a witty retort, or how she
made them feel.
So many people.
So many stories.
So many happy
memories.
Memories that she gave them.
Memories that will last a lifetime.
It
made me realise that we are nothing if not the stories we tell–to ourselves and to each other.
To give someone the gift of a story, a memory that lasts a lifetime, well, I think that's a pretty incredible legacy.
It’s a remarkable gift to give anyone.
And a reminder of the power of storytelling.
