Thanks so much for signing up for my emails.
This is the very first one I'm sending—not counting the welcome sequence, of course.
I just wanted to take a sec to reflect on how I got here.
Not in an indulgent kinda way but in a way that I hope will be helpful to you.
You see, it's been a bit of a mental battle . . .
Fighting with imposter syndrome, convincing myself that I'm not good enough, or that I don't know enough.
I thought, I just need to write one more book, help one more client get a big win, or take one more course.
And I was still in that place until . . .
Recently when I was chatting with copywriting ace, Roy Furr. He introduced me to a concept called The Four C's.
Dan Sullivan, a strategic business coach, teaches that:
'Personal confidence comes from making progress toward goals that are far bigger than your present capabilities.'

He says, in order to get confidence, you need to got through three other stages first:
- commit to an action
- have courage to see it through
- to grow your capability
- which leads to confidence
I found it pretty eye-opening. I felt like I'd been called out!
I've been putting off what I wanted to start doing in 2019 because I didn't feel confident helping indie authors with their copywriting skills.
So, you can read all the books on craft or marketing tactics or whatever else you think you need to know . . .
But remember that confidence comes from the actual doing.
Have courage. Get doing. Keep doing it. And grow.
